One risk strategy to reduce burnout in your practice is a daily huddle with all staff to discuss issues that have the potential to impact patient flow during the day. If a consistent bottleneck is discovered during the daily huddle, the discussion provides an opportunity to collaborate on workable solutions. Burnout and Perfectionism In a study by Buyukbayraktar and Temiz (2015) investigated the relationship between preschool teachers’ perfectionism and burnout, sample consisted of preschool teachers working in primary education schools (n=82) in the district of Konya, Turkey. Instruments used in the study included the Maslach Burnout Inventory as well as the Multidimensional Perfectionism Scale. Results found that the burnout of preschool teachers was at an above medium high level whereas their perfectionism was at a high level.
