1. The author of “Moi Goes to Washington” was Joe Kane. Kane is an American author. He has written two books and many articles for the National Geographic, The New Yorker, and Esquire.

This text is relevant to the study of modern business in that it teaches us more about what can be bad about businesses and no regulations.
6. This text was very easy to read and understand so I felt very good about my level of understanding. This reading was something that I really liked.
Study questions
1. The equatorial government seems to be at fault in this situation because it has no regulations also the oil company.
2. This situation could have been prevented if there had been more regulations in place, this would have helped conserve the land/forest where the Huaorani live.
3. Moi hopes he can get the president to help protect the forest where the Huaorani live.
4. In Moi’s situation I would feel terrible and I would probably not be able to do what he does.
5. Some policies that could be implemented are: more research on the people living in the area, research on the effect the project could have on the environment and people.
6. Additional partners could help act as a mediator between the two parties, they could also help take care of different things.
7. IF I were part of the company doing this I would like to think that I would be sympathetic towards the Huaorani’s situation but I’m not entirely sure how I would
