During life we all set some type of goals, weather it be short term or long term. As individuals we grow each and everyday, if we did not try to change to better ourselves I truly do not see the point in living. Short term goals is like the building blocks to the bigger picture; however, if you not meet the short term goals along the way then statistics show that an individual is more likely to give up on whatever the bigger picture may be. “The trouble with not having a goal is that you can spend your life running up and down the field and never score.”(Bill Copeland)
Short-Term Goals As I find myself living in an apartment (two hours away from home all by myself), a new job, and better yet a new college. I can strongly say a new chapter in my life is in full force and no time to look back now. Setting goals along the way is extremely important. Going throughout high school I never had to put extraneous hours of studying to make an “A” on the test. I have realized hours upon hours of studying are what it takes to succeed in nursing school. Obviously, sometimes I forget that I am not in high school anymore. Throughout this quarter I need to pay extremely attention to the amount of time out of class studying I put in. My goal for this is to study at least 3hours for every class I have. By doing this I will have better time management skills and be more likely to succeed. I will achieve this goal but getting a daily planner and scheduling my day so I do not loose focus throughout the day. This goal will be met when I know how much studying needs to be done to achieve the grade I want without any
