A sponsor is someone who has overcome their past addiction, and can be consulted in order to help with any drug related problems. Sometimes an addict will experience a major crisis during craving and it may result in a crash. If the said addict doesn't get help or someone to lean on in cases such as this, they might crash, or spiral back into an addiction. When someone crashes they crash hard, and dive back into drugs, sometimes more intensely than before they went sober. There are people who relapse and are never heard from again. For some people, they become so accustomed to living numb that after experiencing cravings and withdrawals, they become terrified of them. Using, and feeling numb become so routine that the withdrawals themselves aren’t what scares them, it's the pain that results from it. A couple pills aren’t a trip to numbness anymore, it's their only way to fight off craving pains. They become obsessed, while addicted. When someone becomes so addicted that they can’t stop using the drug, while being so obsessed with escaping the pains that they may or may not experience, they are beyond the help of the forum. In most cases, they never post again, and due to the anonymity of the forum, other members never know what happened to them. The forum has multiple sub-forums including; “Am I an Addict?”, “How to find help”, “Our Stories”, and “Introductions and Celebrations!” Each of the sub-forums are packed with stories and accounts of people on all stages of recovery. In “Am I an Addict?” there are many people trying to figure out whether they are addicts or are seeking help admitting that they have a problem that needs fixing. In “How to find help” there are people, mostly forum mods, that are directing people through the 12 steps of Narcotics Anonymous
