A cold wind was blowing as we reached to Phedi. The temperature was freezing and my hands and feet were numbed with cold. My nose began to run and ears were as cold as ice. Though I had put on woolen jackets, gloves, and shocks yet I felt cold and uncomfortable. We buckled up our shoes to move up the steeper hill. It was the most complicated and breath-taking moment in my life. My heart beat was running away and beating like a drum. Proceeding further upward, the foggy and misty clouds vanished by the charming sun that rose up with the strength and warmth. As we were passing down the woods, the chirping sounds and some awkward sounds of animals mesmerized us. As soon as we reached the top, we were restlessness and very tired. Walking further suddenly I saw a wrinkled face women cutting grass in a steep hill. Beneath the hill, it is the Modi river that can put to her death if anything is wrong. But the bravery and courage is really appreciating. I felt like the chill of death watching that scene. It was completely a new experience for me as I was the city guy grown up with all the facilities. We then passed through the beautiful dense rhododendron forest. The forest was so appealing and pleasing that I never wanted to pass through it but still had a long way to go. It took a long four hours trekking to reach our destination.
