At approximately 8:45 a.m., Mr. Rossignol and the plaintiff were driving their respective vehicles in the northbound lanes of I-294/94/80 and just west of the Illinois/Indiana state line. At that location, traffic in the northbound lanes of the highway is actually traveling west.
