For example, in The U.S. I mentioned that it is very important to make eye contact when having a conversation; however, Japanese tend to consider eye contact uncomfortable. Another example, an initial handshake is use in Western cultures to present yourself; however, a handshake in Turkey is considered rude and aggressive. Body language varies between some cultures, so when doing a business when a different culture, it is important to study and know the culture highlights.

It would be useful to understand and control my body language, that way I can connect and interact with people better, I can improve my presence and the signals that I am sending out to others, how people perceive me, and how professional my body posture is. By learning and improving my body language, I can have more confidence in myself, and a positive impact on others.
