The assigned reading for forum 6 provided insight on organizational management and leadership from a theoretical basis. The chapter discusses various conflicts and the manager’s role in behavior modification. Group 4 agreed that organizational management and leadership is a catalyst for success both from the employee and employer perspective. Group 4 found the use of informal teams to be effective. According to Satterlee (2013), informal teams have the ability to accomplish tasks that might not be possible within a formal organizational structure. An organization seeking to obtain operational efficacy and innovation should consider the utilization of teams. High performing teams can enhance continuous improvement by developing new products, services, and markets. According to Parumasur & Govender (2013), the use of teams is effective when each member understands their role into the effort.
