Then describe how MIG welding has evolved from back then to now. Then teach you some MIG welding positions and techniques. Finally, I am going to go over the MIG welding safety. For some first starting off MIG welding it can seem difficult, or they don’t like it because it splatters too much. It can take some time for you to get good or even to buy a MIG welder. If you know someone that has one that would let you use it would be great for you to get more practice. A big thing for MIG welding is having your welder set wrong (go welding). You have to know how to set your machine, or once you start welding and mess up ten to fifteen parts your boss isn’t going to be pleased. He is going to see that you have no idea what you are doing and he is going to fire you. When MIG welding, you cannot get used to on using one machine, you have to be able to weld on different welder if yours messes up (go welding). You need to learn how to clean your metal before you weld on it so that it will produce a better weld. Also, make sure you use the technique for the position you are welding. Don’t try and do a technique that you know isn’t going to work for that position you are welding. If you were to switch from flat welding, and then go to vertical and do the same thing with the MIG welder it’s not going to look
