The phrase is based on leadership- in all organization it always “begins and ends” with management. Poor management can lead employees to leave great organizations. As a former owner of a small business with 12+ employees, and as a manager myself- I have experienced all levels of disengagement from employees based on my poor performances or other manager’s lack of communication and teamwork. Furthermore, if a manager can coordinate and be a successful leader that inspired its employees, and motivated them to up-growth- the organization will benefit from both sides. Yet, most of the time, managers are not willing to understand/listening to an employees view point of the situation where they (the employee(s)) has decide to leave the company. All situations of disengagement have factors that contribute to decision-making; two important factors based on many researches are Ethical and cross-cultural issues_ and its based on a persons personal opinion and background, also once perception of the world around. Ethical Issues I owned an small services business for over 7-years were I manage and trained employees to perform a specific task, and to insure positive results for the benefit of not only the business both all parties involved (clientele, employees, suppliers, etc.) All companies follow an ethical protocol that employees must comply with- however, I believe that the personal, respectful relationship you develop with each member of the organization has an impact on results. We are facing a century of increase immigration, and relationships with a plenty different cultures where a plethora of ideas come from different view points and perceptions that are remarkably affecting the way with do business and tent to manage same business. People are willing to work; yet not willing to be bossed around or change the way of thinking and seeing an issue. What is good for one, its evil for others, so it’s very difficult, yet it’s not impossible to break these barriers in businesses_ each organization have the responsibility to study, and determine the best possible way to overcome cultural issues which is fact is a determinant factor on a business success or failure.
