Experience in Catholicism On the nineteenth of November, I took part of the mass that was held in Loyola Marymount University. I have been in the Sacred Heart Chapel before. However, this would be my first time going into the St. Mary’s Chapel. When I decided to attend the mass at St. Mary’s Chapel, the first thing that came to my mind were the old memories of my childhood. I attended a catholic elementary school during my childhood. I still the remember the sound of the clock tower and the architecture of the church. There were also certain times where we had to pay to go to church. Clearly, the church has some gothic architecture influences of the late medieval period. There were stained-glass art windows on the walls similar to other Catholic churches. This made me think that there must be connection between stained-glass window art and Catholicism. Each stained-glass window seems to depict a unique story behind them. I am not certain who everyone was in those painted stained-glass windows. What I am certain of was that there were not only divine beings in those stained-glass windows. Some of the biblical figures I saw were Archangel Gabriel, Ignatius of Loyola, Mary, St. Joseph, and Jesus. Not all windows had painted pictures in them. The priest shift into a more contemporary topic. He talks about current political problems the United States face. Syrian refuges wants to enter the United States for safety due to the danger ISIS. Unfortunately, some of us refused to help these refugees and claimed that we do not care about these people. The priest sympathized with their struggle and prayed for these people in need. After a few prayers, the priest ask if there were any participants that wanted to pray for others. A lady answered to pray for those who go through sickness and
