The inputs (reactants), outputs (products) and any requirements of each process?
Photosynthesis is when a plant takes in carbon dioxide and water and turns this into glucose and oxygen, but this process can't happen without light and chlorophyll.
Respiration is the opposite of photosynthesis it is when an animal or plant cell takes in glucose and oxygen and turns it into carbon dioxide and water. The main difference with these two reactions is that respiration does not need light and chlorophyll the produce carbon dioxide and water.
A word equation for both photosynthesis and respiration?
Photosynthesis
Respiration
What the purpose of each process is?
Photosynthesis- the purpose of photosynthesis is to convert solar energy into …show more content…
This reaction place within living cells in both animals and plants and the energy produced helps the organism to function normally. In animals oxygen is carried around the body in the blood via the lungs and heart, in plants it diffuses through the leafs
Why respiration and photosynthesis are important to all cells/living things?
Respiration and Photosynthesis are important to living things because respiration takes in oxygen to keep the cells alive and working, if respiration stops taking place in the cells they stop working and die. Photosynthesis is important to cells and living things because without this process the plants would all die off and stop changing carbon dioxide and water into oxygen and glucose and if all the plants die off bees will stop pollinating and humans wouldn’t have any oxygen to respire. When each process occurs?
Photosynthesis occurs in plants when there is either a dim or bright light respiration also takes place in these plants but in bright sunlight the rate of photosynthesis is greater than respiration. In the dark only respiration takes place in plants without
