Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats (SWOT) analysis has been included, and a SWOT diagram is included in Appendix A in order to better understand the concepts of the Project Egg Launch.
Project Egg Launch counts a few strengths among its benefits. In addition to being a fun and easy way for students to learn, the project utilizes non-toxic and reusable materials. The costliest components are the wood and brackets needed for the catapult, which can be reused many times. The lesson can be custom tailored to students at different levels to satisfy requirements, it is easy to clean-up, and simple to demonstrate.
Additionally, there are some opportunities teachers may be able to use to their advantage. The materials needed for the students are relatively simple. Students can use items that are around the classroom such as paper and tape. If additional supplies such as duct tape, bags, or sticks are wanted they can be used as well. Students are able to build something and watch the outcome of their enclosure after the enclosure with the egg are launched.
