Since as early as I can remember, I have been fascinated with human thought processes and behavior. I enjoy understanding the invisible, yet very real, aspects of a person’s being that prompts him or her to behave in various ways. Such amazing and heroic feats have been achieved by individuals in history; what factors contributed to this drive that accomplished such admirable actions? Understanding the human psyche taps into the part of life that does not die with death, it lives on in other people and causes. Factors such as these are what cause me to believe that helping someone live their most purposeful life is one of the most valuable ways to contribute to humanity. The standards required by CACREP must be met to become a licensed counselor in Arkansas. I was introduced to CCU by my sister, who is currently in their graduate program for Special Education, and I plan to attend this college after obtaining my Bachelor of Science in Psychology degree at CBC. Colorado Christian University’s MAC program requires 60 hours for completion, and the entire curriculum incorporates Christian precepts with counseling principles. It has also instituted the Counselor Preparation Comprehensive Examination (CPCE), which is the exit exam for the MAC program. This prepares students to take the National Counselor Exam (NCE), of which 100% of CCU’s students have passed to date. In addition to an oral exam, this national exam is required in Arkansas for
