At the beginning of the course I found a lot of difficulties in writing, but now I can see my improvement in writing. I always wanted to be comfortable when I write a paper for class, or email to my instructor, that’s why I decided to take this class as a challenge, so that I can enrich my writing skills qualitatively. As writing skills is Correlatively linked to the amount of one read, henceforth I started consuming variety of literature and readings from different disciplines. Which eventually broadened my horizon of knowledge and that helped me to reproduce in my works. As a second-generation learner as well as English as my secondary language makes me in a position through which I can understand the situation through which a second language student goes through. firstly, I liked the profile more than the narrative as a topic, and the interview was so much fun. It was a new challenging experience for me to write a couple questions and talk with people that I have never seen before. Secondly, I love Tim Hortons, which make it easier to write about a place that I always visit. However, I was thinking to write about the mall, but then when I started thinking about it I thought that I do not go to the mall usually, and it’s not my favorite place, so why do I want to write about it! That’s why I decided to change my topic to my favorite place Tim Hortons. Finally, for the profile I was reading the instructions carefully, and making sure that I’m doing it right. Peer response, and the conference are helpful for revising our essay especially for my narrative essay, because I needed help in my first narrative.
