Grand Canyon University and the College of Nursing adds its Christian values to the many essentials laid out by the AACN. All of these establishments have set out to develop strong nursing leaders that use evidenced-based research to promote health, and improve the quality and safety of care but Grand Canyon University looks to additionally develop leaders with Christian values. These Christian values are some of the same qualities we look for in nurses. Qualities such as; empathy compassion and respect for others. One of the reasons I chose Grand Canyon University is because it fits both the needs of my core beliefs and my vision for personal growth as well as their alignment with the educational parameters set forth by the AACN.…

These characteristics came from wanting to make the buildings taller and more noticeable. For the longest time, Notre Dame was just a dream for me. It was a school I would love to attend, but never believed I had the ability or means to make it there. Notre Dame is known for its rich history, competitive athletics, and rigorous academics. I know that if I am accepted, I will learn more than I can imagine about myself, my faith, and my major. Not only does Notre Dame offer a liberal arts education where I will be able to learn about a number of topics, but it offers hundreds of organizations and activities that I can be involved in.…

The Cathedral looms over viewers as they walk past and tourists line up expectantly waiting for their turn to enter one of the hottest tourists sites of Paris—Notre Dame de Paris. This Cathedral that was once a place of worship has lost most of the prayerful atmosphere it once would of held and now hosts a gift shop as well as a museum including a relic of the crown of thorns (that of course, people can see for a fee). At first glance the throngs of tourists may deter people from appreciating Notre Dame de Paris, but in truth, the architects who created Notre Dame used beauty to educate and inform fellow Christians and as a result, this Cathedral is overflowing with information into the past if only one takes the time to look. Notre Dame de Paris has a staggering dimension of 41 meters wide, 43 meters high up to the base of the tower, and 63 meters up to the top of the tower. The amount of history and the number of stories architects and artists managed to fit onto the exterior of Notre Dame alone is overwhelming.…

There are very many reasons for me to get excited about Notre Dame, but I will try to limit my examples to fit the word requirements. My desire to go to Notre Dame and the excitement that surrounds potentially going there started at a young age. Notre Dame is the only big time, Division I university that is not three hours or more from my house so naturally I grew up being a big fan of the college. I always loved it when my family would occasionally attend the basketball and football games which made me appreciate Notre Dame even more because I loved the atmosphere and the excitement of the games. Now that I am older, I have looked into other reasons that get me excited about attending Notre Dame.…

This is written from a perspective of someone who has never followed college football in their life, but someone who is also an avid temple fan and supporter, so just role with me folks. Temple lost a tough one against Notre Dame Saturday night at Lincoln Financial Field, but the sixty plus thousand who were in attendance or the 5 million watching at home across the nation will be sure to remind the people who didn't see this David vs Goliath match-up that it was one for the ages. Notre Dame was the favorite going into the game against Temple, but the Owls didn't back down at all. I don't follow college football by any means, but the atmosphere at the tailgate and stadium was ecstatic. Every Temple student in attendance Saturday night weren't…
