Think of Both Sides Many companies use advertisement to persuade or to inform. They try to convince others to buy their products, such as food, beverages, clothing, shoes, hair products, etc. Others try to inform others and change their perspectives about more serious topics, such as smoking, pollution, and global warming. They use plenty of rhetorical devices to capture the eyes of consumers and convince them to see their view of what is being sold or displayed. Plenty of drivers, especially teenagers and young adults, are constantly paying attention to other surroundings or things, other than the road, while they are driving. I personally am a teenager, so I can vouch for this. Everything is like a disturbance. Friends talking, the music sounding so good that we must do a little dance and sing along, cellphone ringing or receiving a message, social media calling our name, etc. We don’t go over in our mind about the dangers we can cause to the people in our vehicle or those outside of the vehicle. The only thing we focus on is getting to our destination and having a great time in the car while driving there. However, this advertisement makes us think deeply about the safety of driving. We would not want to cause harm to our family, friends, or strangers due to our negligence, and this advertisement shows exactly what can happen if we do not practice safe driving. While it can be easy to get distracted in a vehicle, there are more serious consequences that come from you not paying attention. Think about your family and others; wouldn’t you be hurt if someone hit a person close to you due to their negligence?
