Some of the most well-known books are famous for having well-written characters who have intricate friendships. Throughout Romeo and Juliet, there were many intriguing friendships. For example, Romeo had a very close friendship with both Benvolio and Mercutio. The closeness of their friendships is often exhibited through the dialogue. For instance, in Act 3 Scene 1 Line 116 Romeo says “Alive in triumph, and Mercutio slain? / Away to heaven respective lenity, / and fire-eyed fury be actually have many my conduct now!” In this scene, Tybalt has just killed Mercutio, and Romeo is feeling such remorse for his best friend’s death, that knowing the repercussions it will have, kills Tybalt to revenge
