In the play The Tragedy of Romeo and Juliet by William Shakespeare, Juliet says, “If all else fail, myself have the power to die.” Due to this quote and many other factors, when asked who is most responsible for the deaths of Romeo and Juliet, I believe they were most responsible for their own deaths. It is true that fate, the families, Friar, and other characters from the play had an impact on their deaths, but in the end, they were most responsible for choosing to take their own lives by believing that one could not, and would rather not live without the other.
Even though Romeo and Juliet made the final choice to take their own lives at the end, other characters in this tragedy still influenced their decisions. For as long as anyone could remember the Capulet and Montague families have strongly disliked each other.…
