One of the root causes of police brutality is that there is not enough representatives that are people of color. Another root cause is that people have it installed in citizens today that people of color should be targeted because they are the true suspects of most crimes. The good that people of color do us never shown, but the bad is always portrayed at its worst. Moreover, police know the job they came to do, but they decide to do just a little more extra which actually doesn’t help the community in any way.
Ultimately, I would like to see the police actually be here to support people of color instead of bringing them down. This can start with with people of color taking action. We are the real decision maker of them all. We are the citizens of America and we are the ones who vote for our representatives. If the government decided to become more involved in societies problems and protest with the people for a change, there would be more of an impact. The people can only address the problems to the police by sending request for support and trying to let the government know that there is a problem. The government has to realize that there are too many unarmed citizens that are being killed by the police. This does not only hurt that person, but the people related to that person. This can cause families to rebel against the police which may cause more problems (The Economist). If the police realizes the problem and help the people try to address the government then there might an actual change and a long term impact on America. Families of the victims should be the leaders of what peaceful protest is all about and be the prime examples of how the world will be if they keep killing the innocent
