The hats would be decorated with bows made from tulle as well as pearls and beading, these hats would be referred to as Juliet caps. They would also wear hats made from lace with were rounded in shape and they had pleating, buns worn would be covered by the hats and flowers and ribbon were used as decoration. For women big circular bonnets became more popular then hats and continued to increase in size until 1910. Hats fashionable at the start of the Edwardian era were small and black. The brims of hats started to face upwards in the 1901 to the 1905 and trimming decoration is seen in hats then after 1904 the hat started to be angled instead of sitting straight. A hat resembling the shape of a mushroom and made from straw would be worn in 1904 and 1905. Ribbon and flowers which would sometimes have wire inside continued to be used as decoration and some hats around this time would be shaped like tricornes. In the 1907 the brims of hats started to lower. Flowers can be seen decorating the hats underneath the brim in 1909 and was referred to as the Watteau Hat. Spotted or plain transparent fabrics commonly in the colour black would be placed on hats as veils, this was seen till 1908 and then became fashionable in 1910. Lace would also be used as well as thin materials that would be painted with patterns. Beading and sequins can be commonly seen on folding evening fans. Gloves in the Edwardian era would be made from suede and leather and they would end at the wrist. They are slits to the middle of the palms so that they fit and four buttons would be used as fastenings. Silk and kid gloves would be worn for the evenings and would reach the elbows. The glove would have a slit starting at the bottom and usually 20 buttons to fasten them. Mittens would be made from wool or would have lining in order to keep the hands warn. Gloves that did not have fingers would be made from lace commonly in the colour white or black. Bags in the Edwardian era would be made from leather and have sections inside, closing with a flap. Some bags would have metal structure that were large and the handles would be made from leather. Bags known as Dorothy bags close with the use of a drawstring and it would be rounded in shape. Beading and brocade would be used making them popular for the evening. Chains would also be seen on the bags. So that bags could be worn on the shoulders cording would be attached. Parasols were commonly worn as decoration and lace would be placed over the top of the parasols which were made from silk or chiffon.
