Short-wave electromagnetic energy has a short wavelength and high energy, while long-wave electromagnetic energy has a long wavelength and low energy. The wavelendth refers to the sine function that describes the eneregy's osicalation through time. Higher energy's, have a shorter freqwuency and thus shorter wavelength. Conversly, a lower energy has a longer frequency over a unit of time an thus a longer wavelength.
A radio wave is a long-wave energy that has the longest wav elength in the spectrum generally …show more content…
According to the station model provided the temprature is 74 degrees Farenheit with a dewpoint at 65 degrees, and the barimetric pressure is at 998. It is 1/10th cloud coverage with the wind traveling from the north east at 20 knots.
Las Vegas is located in a desert climate. 1) Name and describe the three principle climatecontrols of deserts (see lecture notes), and 2) identify which of these best explains whyLas Vegas has an arid environment? Use complete sentences, and justify your answer for part 2 of the question
The three climate controls for deserts are ;atitude or the angular distance of a locale north or south of the earths equator , contientatlity or the distance from a maritmime, and rain shadow or the area of dryness being on the lee side of a mountainous area usually away from a maritime environment.
The latitude is the first precursor for a desrert environment is the latitutde which Las Vegas resides is approximately equivalent to the deserts in northern Africa, but this is compounded by fact that las Vegas is leeward of the Sierra Nevada Mountainas and it's distance from the
