Currently the United States is under ObamaCare health insurance. ObamaCare is a law that was made in 2010 to ensure that all Americans have access to affordable health insurance. According to Charles Blahous, a senior Research Strategist at the Mercatus Center at George Mason University, states, “Studies have concluded that the expansion of insurance coverage under Obamacare will increase the federal deficit by $340-$700 billion in the first 10 years, and could increase the deficit to $1.5 trillion in the second 10 years. ”(Mercatus,5) This amount of money is just under ObamaCare alone. If the United States were to have free healthcare to all citizens the amount of money would greatly increase, or even double. Not to mention the United States is already 17 trillion dollars in debt. Where would the government come up with the amount of money for the country to have free healthcare? The United States would become even more in debt as is if there were free
