The Sibling Effect There are a lot of activities that we can do alone, but with a brother or a sister around the same age there are more activities to do. Having a brother or a sister with the same age is beautiful and have consequences and advantages, one advantage is that you can share your toys, your cloth, or whatever you want. Also, having a brother or sister you can play with him or her all the day and it more fun for you. One example if you have a brother you can talk to him and tell whatever feeling you have and you will not be embarrassing. They do a study to examine perceptions of adult sibling relationships with a brother or sister with severe disabilities and the contexts affecting the relationships. Adult siblings without disabilities only play or made relations with other without disabilities. It is because kids or adults without disabilities are abler to do activities than kids with disabilities can’t do. One example in the study was that one kid was with his brother, his brother was not able to play because he was involved in a crash accident and his legs won’t work correctly, the results on that was that the kid without disabilities didn’t play with his brother because his brother was different to him. Siblings play a unique role in the structure of familial and social lives in that they are more akin to peers compared with parents and guardians, though they still share a family bond in contrast with chosen friendships. Siblings spend more time together as children than they do with parents or guardians and peers, resulting in significant formative impact on social and emotional development. Kids love spend time to another kid of the same age, and they always understand more to another kids that their parents. One study by Heller & Arnold, “the study why kids understand more another kids that their parents” (p3) states that kids understand more to their friends or brother around the same age because kids are very happy when they are to others around the same age. Also the study shows that kids when are in the same age have a language that they understand. Kids around 2 years are not able to speak but, they make noises that make the other kids able to
