Her inability to practice self-pity and instead use the absence of her parents to find her strength displays her modesty and integrity. However, Juliet uses her strength to gain power, eventually using it to manipulate Romeo in their relationship in order to fulfill her constant need for contentment. The fact that Juliet applies power to hide her weaknesses presents her as one who strong but also one who is immaturely impulsive considering her responses to relationship challenges with Romeo. Even though strength is an important aspect of a relationship, an imbalance of power can be crucial to its survival as demonstrated between Romeo and Juliet. The obedience and compromise in intimacy, is what results in the success of a couple’s affection. The extremities taken to fight for the lasting of a relationship is what establishes its strength, and with that achievement of pure devotion comes eternal
