What is Enlightenment? The Enlightenment is the time in the history of western thought and culture, stretching roughly from the mid-decades of the seventeenth century through the eighteenth century, characterized by dramatic revolutions in science, philosophy, society and politics; The Age of Enlightenment was a time when there was a major movement involving Western Europe . The Albany Plan of Union is something that was brought forward in 1754 in Massachusetts, by Mr. Shirley and also Benjamin Franklin. It was created to manage Indian affairs and to keep things afloat.
