Those jobs left by the men drafted were quickly occupied by hard-working women and such jobs revolved around the medical, blue-collar and even teaching fields. The vast founding for nuclear development and research created thousands of additional jobs within the U.S economy. The 2 million dollars spent on research to produce such concoctions like ‘little boy’ and ‘fat man’, was able to navigate the world into the nuclear age, or better yet the atomic era we know it as today. The advandements of science lead the world into a new age of fear and dominance as well as security and protection. On the other side, the Japanese forces were able to show their dominance of stratergic warfare by deploying an almost successful surprise attack against the U.S. Japan was able to weaken the U.S forces even if it was just for the short run.
