Looking back at the World War I period, the United States had a large immigrant population. They were in a war, and they needed money to finance the war, they needed troops. So if they could get the immigrants become American, they could get their purpose done well. Therefore, they had a reason to go to the Americanization, in their ways. Back to today, America is in peace, with a stable economic, good education, transportation, and so on. The United States is the country which is standing at the top of the world in any fields. Somehow, the Americanization is still processing every day in our lives. No matter what your race or sex are, where you come from, once you have put your foot to in America, you have to live under the laws of the United States. The holidays in America are also different than your homelands, so you have to adopt it as well. Even myself has changed since I came here, I come from the Asian country, where fast food is not popular as there. Since I have lived here, I have changed to go along with fast food, it is kind of American culture, “hamburger and french fried.” There are many Asian restaurants in there, but I found out that fast food was way more convenient and cheaper than those. Besides that, I think the government is still sponsoring the Americanization. However, this time, they did not use like the way they were using in the World War I, which created Germany became a common enemy. Through media, newspaper, radio, and television, they cultivate the ideology to every American that the United States is the best. We had been through and won a lot of wars in the history. We do have power, but we do not use it to prevent war, not to conquering such as we are trying to prevent war from the conflict in East Sea (also known as South China Sea). The only difference to the World War I is nowaday, we freely do the Americanization as we want, not as the U.S. government want.
