The magnitude of this problem is very high and dangerous for the future of Australia. The problem that occurs from a crime started by a teenager does not necessarily end when the police arrest him (CYH 2014). Usually the repercussion of the crime can be a long-term to a lifetime of psychological issue for the victim. Generally in a case where it is murder this can be very devastating not only for the victims family but also for the extended family and friends of the victim, community, police, ambulance personnel and the eyewitnesses (AIC, 2012).
