Mike Mulligan was so faithful to Mary Anne that he never left her side, even when she became apart of the town hall. I would love to have students think of two people who remind them Mike Mulligan and Mary Anne, it might be them and their parents or them and a teacher. I believe that God could easily take the place of Mike Mulligan, like Mike, God will always be by our side no matter what. Even when people say we can’t do certain things, God will always believe in us no matter what. Cronin, D. (2003) Dairy of a worm. New York City, NY: HarperCollins. AD360L (Preschool - 3rd) A worm recounts his everyday adventures in his diary. From his lessons from mom and his digging lessons with spiders. The worm goes through a few months of his diary when he experiences many different things and is taught many different lessons. This may not be a book with a solid story that can be told, I do think it is interning to read a diary that would be written by a worm. I think students would really enjoy this book and also enjoy how the book is formatted into a diary. I would use this book to show my students that even the tiniest creatures were created by God with a purpose. As an activity for my students I would have them pick and animal and write a diary entry as that animal. This is a very cute book, and it is also very funny. Even though it is recommended for lower level classes I think high level classes would apprentice the humor
