This is when people would move across both international and national borders. Every year, millions of men and women would leave their home to travel across borders to find a better lifestyle. Migration is a problem that every country has but China would be affected the most. ‘According to national statistics, by the end of 2009, China had a total of 229.8 million rural migrant workers. Among them, 145.3 million rural migrant workers worked outside of their hometowns’ (International Labor Organization, No date) this shows the amount of migration that has affect China and how it has become the most populated country. Since China’s leader Deng Xiaoping's opened China to the world, it has become one of the biggest economic success stories. It is estimated that at least 1 Billion people live in China that represents 56 ethnic minority groups The Chinese culture has been the same for many years ‘four key features of Chinese culture can be identified; these four features are: respect for age and hierarchical position, group orientation the concept of face’(De Gruyter, 1986: page250) This culture of China has been around for many years and there is no sight of it changing unless as a result of socialisation and other reinforcing factors. As other foreign trader start to set-up in China, they not tried to change the culture of China but they have adapted to it. As migration has been on the rise to people have started to merge with the culture of China. Businesses in China would need to look into this, as they are not only dealing with the Chinese culture. The education system of China is being affected as new courses and curriculums have been put in place instead of the traditional Chinese course. China have to adapt to the amount of people who are entering their country and how the culture is shaping
