In many fora where issues of governance in Africa are discussed, the chief identified problem bedevilling the African continent is poor leadership (Adejumobi, 2004). Though corruption among African leaders has been generally identified as the root causes of Africa’s socio-economic and political conundrum, it is still safe to argue that many of the African leaders are being loyal to the agenda of their parties at the expense of Africa’s development (Barkan, 1992). Africa’s leadership is tagged as an embodiment of lack of direction, neglect and drift, fraud and insensitivity to the plight of the citizens.
