For the reason that, gender neutral bathrooms can be more convenient; every person can benefit from public all-gender bathrooms and changerooms. Examples of people include transgenders, non identifying genders, people with disabilities and children. All-gender bathrooms and changerooms are in fact safe; studies report no complaints of violence or harassment. Studies have also shown that at first a person may feel strange using gender neutral spaces, however one can quickly adapt to the idea. Furthermore, building gender neutral bathrooms are less costly than constructing multiple gendered bathrooms. Additionally, architects still have to consider everyone’s needs and try their best to accommodate as many people as possible. Therefore, not all bathrooms should be built gender neutral for the reason that not everyone is comfortable with sharing a bathroom with the opposite sex.
In conclusion, solutions can be found in how gendered spaces may be modified. Society needs to begin aiming for a more gender sensitive architecture. Architects, along with other designers have a job to create an equal space for both men, women, and those whose gender we will not define for them. As mentioned before, bathrooms and changerooms play an important role in gendered spaces. Therefore, more all-gendered bathrooms and changerooms should be created to suit everyone 's
