Hermes is the fastest god of them all. He can fly at speeds almost as fast as light. His top flight speed is 180,000 miles per second (Hermes (Olympian God)). He can also run at speeds as fast of 770 miles per hour (Hermes (Olympian God)) . Another power that Hermes possesses is his strength. He has lifted 35 tons (Hermes (Olympian God)). Hermes also has the power to put people to sleep, and to also take their sleep away (Hermes (Olympian God)).
His main responsibility was to give messages to the gods. His father is Zeus, and his mother is Maia. His half-brothers are Apollo, Ares, Dionysus, Hephaestus, and Hercules. His half-sisters are Artemis, Eileithyia, Eris, Hebe, Persephone, and Venus. Hermes’ sons are Hermaphroditus, Pan, Abderus, and Autolysis. This was his main family members. Hermes main symbol was his Caduceus also known as the Herald's staff. This is the staff with wings at the top and snakes wrapped around it. He carried his Caduceus everywhere he went.
