Should California put laws on farmers to use water to grow plants? California has been in a drought for a the past three years now, a lot of people now have no water to take shower and flush toilets. Most of California water is getting used for watering plants to send to places like Russia, but most of the crops that California grows don’t even go to California Grocery Stores. This is a problem that California deals with of Farmers using so much water to grow crops like corn, almonds, and walnuts. “Groundwater is like a bank account. In Source #2 (“Financial Times: California town faces life without water”) it talks about a person named Angelica Gallegos, who hasn’t taken a shower in five months because of farmers using water to grow crops. So many people have lost water to their homes and towns, over 320 of California towns have ran out of water to take showers, wash dishes, and to flush toilets. Soon these towns won’t exist anymore, people will start calling ghost towns.
