Censorship in schools a topic often seen as controversial topic in the U.S. because some will argue that censoring material protects children ; however, others will take the stance that censoring in schools can get in the way of a student’s education. The controversial topic is often related and/or connected to the first amendment of the U.S. Constitution. Censorship should not be utilized and should be banned in schools because it can provide issues in the educational process of a student. This is most apparent in what is directly stated in the constitution, research articles on the subject as well as cases from over the years on the matter.
