The parents are able to have more time to themselves. Children raised by both parents are more likely to attend college and be mentally and physically healthier. They can also receive gender specific support from either parent, whether it’s from putting on make-up to learning how to make a bow tie. They are less likely to be abused, get a divorced when married, get pregnant and be sexually active at a young age, be drug or alcohol abusers and have fewer behavioral problems. Parents that are together are more financially stable as opposed to single parents who might raise their child in poverty due to having to provide for their child and themselves. Not to mention more money and time that will be spent paying and looking for someone to babysit. Even more so if they are raising more than one child on their own. Nowadays everyone sees that as something common and something that society has come to accept, but it does not always mean it is better.
