Turtles, Ice Age fossils, old mirrors and orchids are his collections. Those are not normal collections for a young boy; therefore he is described as a “weird little kid” in his childhood. This indicates that people are receiving pressures and bad rumours during the way to their desire. However, when Laroche thinks about how he enjoys his collecting, he is pursuing his personal desire. Also, his ambition is getting stronger and stronger. For example, when he is obsessed in turtles, he is trying to collect one of every single turtle species if possible. He is even thinking about his life is not worthy if he cannot achieve his goal, which is impossible in common sense. At last, he falls out of love turtles, because his passion and interest loses in his unachievable dream. In his description, there is not much conflict in his mind because his ambition makes him to only
