To people who are not familiar with the subway, the letters and numbers at the top of the painting mean nothing. However, the specific letter and number combination reveals that this painting is about Times Square. Even though many of the letters and numbers are cut off, the audience is able to fill in the blanks. One thing is certain, this train station is in the center of a very populated area. Base on the painting, there is three different layers in the staion. There is a layer that leads out to the street, there is another layer that has people walking around, and the last layer is where the musicians are playing.
