When Miss. Maudie’s house was on fire Boo puts a blanket over scout. “You were so busy looking at the fire you didn’t know he put the blanket around you” (72). The trait affects the story because rumors of him is starting to fade. While his real personality is setting in. He would put items inside an oak tree, so whenever Jem and Scout come home from school they pick it up. The little gifts are pieces of chewing gum, pennies, miniatures of two children (Scout and Jem), and a Spelling Bee medal. The children do not know it, but Boo Radley is communicating with them.
The third trait is he is harmless. Boo Radley is harmless because he saved Jem & Scout from Bob Ewells attack & is one of the mockingbirds in the book. When Jem and Scout were walking home, Bob Ewell tried to murder them but Boo Radley saved them. Throughout the novel, there are hints about Boo Radley, that he really has not done anything bad.
