Virunga National Park is a park where many gorillas live and there are many natural resources. Through the Virunga documentary, (2014) a documentary that depicts rangers take risks to protect gorillas in Virunga National Park, we can know there are many poaching and political conflicts which negatively impact local people and environment. They claim that some revenues from tourism are directly used to support conservation. In addition, in order to provide a better tourism environment, local people and government will attach the importance to the protected areas, which will focus on protecting gorilla habitats. Furthermore, Nielsen and Spenceley (2011) point out the success of tourism and benefits derived from tourism in Rwanda in their article. The authors claim that mountain gorilla tourism has been seen as a valuable tool to conserve animals. This is because tourists will pay large sums of money visiting these animals, which will provide funds with authorities to do conservation in Virunga National Park. Specifically, they point out that gorilla population is increasing at 1.1 percent after developing tourism. This data demonstrates that the tourism is beneficial to conservation. Moreover, Lynn (2015) introduces non-anthropocentrism in his article, claiming that animals have intrinsic values and people should not do anything based on human profits. People who attach importance to conservation in Virunga National Park show that they approve the claim of non-anthropocentrism. Through the sharing-revenue project and value chain of tourism, many local people can attain job and revenue from Virunga tourism, which will boost their livelihood. After attaining the revenue from tourism, natural organizations and governments will have more funds to protect mountain gorillas and natural environment in Virunga, which is benefit to conservation. In addition, tourism will provide more cooperation with people and parties in conflicts, which helps to relieve political conflicts in Virunga. Although there are still some instable developing issues of tourism, people are making efforts to improve safety condition there.
