When in my senior year, I did apply to several colleges and after getting decisions and all the financial aid I could get, I decided that it was better for me to go to Sacramento City College because I would not have to pay anything and that I would be stress free and gain a better education rather than going to a UC where I would have to pay a lot of money and have to stress about paying those fees which would greatly hinder my education. I know that I will be transferring to a UC after 2 years in Sacramento City College and I also knew that there were benefits to all that. I would be saving about $30,000 dollars just by going to Sacramento City College for just 2 years and would not have to pay anything. In the end, I made a decision not only what would be better for me for also for the sole factor that I would not have to stress about the tuition and fees that colleges are racking up these days and that I would get a better education that those worrying about all those fees in UC …show more content…
I realized that going through the same experience while applying to colleges, going to a community college would be a better choice for me simply because I would not have to pay anything whereas in a University I would have to stress about ways to pay off my debt and loan. I believe that in a time where every student is faced with the pressure of going to college, the best way to go if going to a University is too expensive, there is always the best alternative where you don’t feel so pressured and stressed and can enjoy your education
