Pornography involves exploiting the human body and viewing the body as just an object and nothing merely more than that. The Catholic Church teaches that our body should be respected because Christ bestows in each and every single one of us. Each one is exploited himself or exploits others in some way for personal pleasure or gain. In all, the dignity of the human being– whether the person posing, the person producing, the person distributing, or the person enjoying– is debased. Those who engage in pornography immerse themselves in a fantasy world, withdrawing from reality.
