Young people may be busy during term time. Therefore, studies can only be conducted during holidays. Others may drop out before the research is completed since they lose interest in doing research which takes a long time. A wide age range brings about problems when explaining a certain concept since others may not understand, which may result in in confusion. Children with disabilities and those from humble backgrounds should be considered. Communications with the young researchers may be difficult. In regards to this, it is important for clear procedures to be put in place to guide research with children and young people. Although research is independent of the age of children and young people, various factors come into play in response to an invitation to participate in research. These include attitudes of the family to professionals and healthcare, child 's health status, style of parenting as well as the consequential experience of children and young people in independent decision making. Furthermore, children are perceived naturally vulnerable, hence why research on them is unethical. Clinical research regulations that involve children and young people right from the international dimension of law to national level, children are presented as being inherently vulnerable. Thus, the research is only conducted with willingness to participate. Finally, it is imperative that children and young people are included in research while safeguarding their rights. If a child has a risk of getting hurt in the process of research, the study must be terminated until the security of a child 's safety is reinstated.
