Rosa then had to overcome personal and financial hardships. She lost her job as a seamstress. She faced threats to her family and people who supported her because they didn't believe in her cause. In spite all the obstacles she faced (no money, death treats to herself and those close to her) she kept fighting for her rights.
After spending a night in jail, she was bailed out by Edgar Nixon, president for
