My high school time schedule was so weird. The time schedule showed that 10 classes each day from 7am to 9:30pm, and there are 2 and half hours for break at afternoon. All of the students in the school had classes from Monday to Saturday, and at half Sunday we got “self-study courses”. Teachers asserted that giving students more time to study in class would raise initiative and power of studying. At the first few week, it was not bad because it was truth to increase my studying time and make me learn more to get some good grade. However, everything were changed after one month. I could not stay focused on book and thinking. I felt that I was being dull with headache intermittently even I could remember anything in my mind in the second midterm, so I only got half point at this exam. All of the students, except one or two super scholar, in my class got lower grade at the second midterm. By the way, the super scholar didn’t keep the “high way” so long, they also got lower at the third exam. After the semester in the high school, I talked with my mom and teachers several times about my feeling, but they just told me that was my problem and “take things as they come”. I like the way to decide my time schedule by myself. I don’t have to wake up at 6am, but if I want to get in a morning class, I still can make it. Because I can be as free as I want to be, I get several opportunity for being volunteer and enjoying a club in college. I fell that being productive every day, but not that tired as studying in China. Perhaps, I don’t want to be restricted since I was born, so I love to make a decision by myself.
