Poverty is attributed by different factors like homelessness, substandard housing,unsafe neighboorhoods, malnutrition and food insecurity, inadequate child care, lack of access to healthcare , and underresourced schools. The percentage of poor children living in poverty that are affected by these facoters is much greater than nonpoor children. Different races and ethinicties are included in the poverty level. In some instances the family is so poor they can not afford to have a lot of food, which leads to malnutrition. Some childeren from poverty income level homes are obese because they have lack of access to healthy foods and areas of play. This can lead to obese children missing school because of their weight. The obesity can be due to eating inexpensive food that is unhealthy and bad for children’s health.
