All ancient civilisations were well developed but each had some aspects that could have been improved. Ancient Greece had amazing architecture but their downfall was gender equality. Ancient Egypt’s architecture was one of its major aspects because their pyramids have been standing for over 4,500 years but hierarchy was incredibly unfair, and Ancient Rome had fantastic legal systems but, their education systems and hierarchy brought down the civilisation.

Ancient Rome was known for their fantastic legal systems, and as Rome grew, their laws became more complex. Rome then became the first ancient civilization to invent lawyers, which are still used today. Unfortunately, Ancient Rome wasn’t very developed. Much of their city was built around swamp lands, and because of that, those parts of the city suffered from damaging floods. Children could go to school from the ages 6-11. If they wanted a further education, they had to be part of a wealthy family. Not many girls would be allowed to go to school after the age of 11, even if they were wealthy, which means the poorer families weren’t as educated as others and couldn’t get good jobs when they got older. People belonged to one of three groups in Ancient Rome, Citizens, Non-Citizens and Slaves. Roman law recognised citizens and non-citizens as free, and slaves were treated as property.
