I often worry about natural disasters because I live right on the San Andrea’s Fault. Also, when I see the world news, I always hear that many people died because of natural disasters. I experienced many earthquakes, but my family was not ready for earth quakes. We do have emergency foods and lights, however, most objects in my house will fall once a major earth quake starts. When I was in middle school, around 2007, there was a 5.6 earthquake in San Jose and no one in my family duck under the table because it was very sudden and it was very first experience of earthquake to my family. Also, many students have their families in other countries where natural disasters happen very often. At least once in our life time, we all experienced some kind of natural disaster such as hurricane, earthquake, drought or flood. Since all people living in the earth are exposed to the natural disasters, it would be very informational if people know how to get prepared for natural disasters. Not only the natural disaster that people would face in their home country, they should know what is happening around the world in case of traveling and visiting other countries. To minimize the damage and injuries, getting prepared for natural disasters is very important.
