Gynecologist
Gynecologists are healthcare practitioners that specialize in treatment for women, specifically relating to the reproductive organs. I chose this career because it would be rewarding to show women how to improve their lives and overall health, as well as it fitting in well with my lifestyle. As I weigh the pros and cons of being a gynecologist, it is imperative that I understand and comprehend the rigorous work duties that gynecologists face, the substantial amount of schooling required, and how my values will line up with the career in the future. There are many things to consider before entering the workforce as a gynecologist. Diagnosing illnesses and diseases, preventing and treating hormonal imbalances, and counseling patients about their fertility options are some of the tasks that gynecologists are required to do (EducationPortal). This career will serve women all over the Houston region and whoever else decides to visit my practice. The value of this career is great; it means a lot to be able to serve women and empower them on the choices they make with their bodies. Helping women build confidence, gain healthier lifestyles, and make positive impacts in their lives would be extremely fulfilling.
